Tablature

The Brickmakers tablatuur

The notation on this page is written for a CF melodeon,

but can be used for any tuning. Of course the basses will change. These can be adjusted using the table at the end of the page.

Switched 5th button

trekharmonica tongen

In most melodeons used in the Netherlands, the 5th button on the inner row (5') is switched compared to the original melodeon.

Bass Chords

trekharmonica baskant

The number of bass chords in a two-row melodeon is usually 8. This is not a lot, but with a little creativity it can be expanded. On this page you find how.

Melodie chords

melodie akkoorden

On the melodeon you can play chords on the bass side to accompany the melody. It can sometimes also be useful to play chords on the melody side of the melodeon.
